Celebrating a Decade of Support for Dream Doors
The couple behind Harrogate kitchen makeover firm Dream Doors were one of Wild & Co’s first clients and are pleased to have had Liz by their side ever since they decided to launch their original family business in 2011.
Liz originally helped them set up The Harrogate Kitchen Studio and was there to support them as it evolved and grew. In 2018 Janet and Mark decided to change the emphasis of their business to cater for the growing demand for kitchen refurbishments and makeovers.
Restructuring for success
With Liz’s help they restructured their business and invested in a Dream Doors franchise.
“Liz is incredibly supportive and is really knowledgeable when it comes to business structure and finance so having her by our side has been invaluable – we have her on speed dial!” says Janet.
“Dream Doors has been an excellent move for us and Liz has helped us throughout, advising us every step of the way.”
Dream Doors on Knaresborough Road in Harrogate is now thriving, providing an alternative for anyone who wants to give their kitchen a facelift by fitting new doors and worktops without going to the extent of taking out the entire kitchen.
“We take the stress away, organising everything from joiners to electricians and providing a fresh new look without the hassle and expense of a completely new kitchen,” Janet explains.
When Covid-19 hit, Wild & Co were there to provide urgent additional support at no extra cost.
“Wild & Co were amazing during coronavirus, helping us with grants and the job retention scheme to make sure we had the money to keep going and pay our staff, and they didn’t charge us any additional fees,” said Janet.
How Wild and Co have helped
Like Wild & Co, Dream Doors is a family business and because of this Janet and Mark say they feel that Liz and Graham really understand their priorities and how they operate.
Liz agrees that the relationship is particularly strong because of shared values.
“The customer is very much the focus for Janet and Mark and everything they do is about making life easy for the people they work with, which is just like our own approach to business.
“With their helpful attitude and years of kitchen design experience, they have made a huge success of Dream Doors and it has been wonderful to be by their side, helping them to structure everything in the best way for strong growth and profitability.
“Our job has been to streamline the financial side of their business so that they can focus on building their customer base and making sure every kitchen project goes smoothly.”
