Singo Bingo brings our business community together for Dementia Forward

Our Singo Bingo fundraiser was a great excuse to get together with friends, colleagues and familiar faces from across the local business community for an evening of music, bingo and plenty of laughs.

Even better, we raised an amazing £2,650 and counting for Dementia Forward, supporting the fantastic work they do with people living with dementia and their families across North Yorkshire.

As a team, we spend our working days helping businesses and individuals with their accounts, finances and plans for the future. Events like this give us the chance to step away from the day-to-day, spend time together socially and get to know the people we work with in a completely different setting.

It was great to see so many clients, colleagues and familiar faces from the local business community in the room. We’re fortunate to work with some brilliant businesses and people, and the evening was a reminder of just how supportive our local network can be when everyone gets behind a good cause.

It was also a chance for the Wild & Co team to enjoy an evening together. Having opportunities to socialise, have some fun and spend time with each other away from the office is something we really value, although Singo Bingo did reveal that some of us have considerably better music knowledge than others!

Of course, none of it would have been possible without the people who helped make the evening happen.

A huge thank you to Rooster’s Brewing Co for hosting us, Pizza Social for keeping everyone fed and Shane for bringing the music, bingo and plenty of laughs. It was also lovely to have representatives from Dementia Forward with us to support the fundraiser and talk about the work the charity does.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who bought a ticket, made a donation and joined us on the night. Together, you’ve helped us raise more than £2,650 and the total is still rising.

Supporting our local community is important to us at Wild & Co, but we also want to enjoy doing it. Singo Bingo managed to combine a fantastic cause with an opportunity to bring our team, clients and wider business community together.

Judging by the photos – and the singing – we think it’s fair to say everyone embraced it!

It can also support asset protection, simplify complex arrangements and, in the right circumstances, offer tax planning opportunities. In this article, we explore the benefits of a group structure, when it may be appropriate and the key points to think about before making the change. At Wild & Co Chartered Accountants, we regularly support business owners who are reviewing their structure as their businesses evolve and expand.
